This was the fourth short film I directed based on a script written by a third grader for the Pens To Lens student screenwriting competition, featuring the ambitious space traveling plans of a monkey and his snake friend.
It was a great opportunity to experiment with new character rigging techniques, and to play with integrating character animation from Maya with environment development in Houdini. There was a particularly spectacular jungle flight at the beginning of the film built in Houdini.
